Merry-go-rounds often call forth feelings of nostalgia, resurfacing hidden memories from the back of our minds.
In the 16th Quantum Project, “Merry-Go-Round,” the remains of a broken sculpture are scattered around a spinning stage. Candies overflow in objects at the ring of the merry-go-round, providing a sweet sense of amusement. In this surreal setting, visitors are invited to creatively explore their feelings of nostalgia and fleeting youth.
Merry-go-rounds are often reminiscent of youthful days. They bring forth hidden images from our childhood and leave us floating in a state of nostalgia.
