Move Out
For the 30th Quantum exhibition, Gentle Monster presents a renewal project on all three floors of the Hongdae Flagship Store. Titled, “Move Out,” the installation work exhibits sub-themes on each level of the store. The first floor is known as “Floating House” and features a house hanging from the ceiling. The house is repeatedly separated and reattached while kinetic shoes move as if they are setting off to somewhere unknown. On the second floor, guests walk into “Garden Room,” in which the space is filled with plants that guide you towards the third floor. This floor falls under the sub theme, “Moving Memories,” where furniture and all sorts of objects are suspended in time. This installation unfolds a story where visitors experience what it is like to be a collision of things that remain and things that are leaving.
